The Steel Roof Top Tent Rack is designed to fit a roof top tent flat on the base. Australian Standards AS 1235-2000 (A.D.R.) complied and tested. All testing was performed by a NATA accredited Australian laboratory, according to Australian Standard AS1235-2000.
Installation
Installation is simple but will require a minimum of two people with basic hand tools. It will take approximately 2 hours.

Does the universal gutter mount roof rack fit to the Hilux as my Hilux does have gutters?
The mounts of our roof racks are adjustable, so if the actual length and width of your roof can accommodate the rack you’re looking to install (each of our rack’s measurements are on the website), then you should be able to fit a gutter-mount rack to a HiLux with gutters.
Do the roof racks come with a roof rack cage?
We sell different racks for different purposes. Our flat racks, for example, don’t have a cage. But our full length steel racks have higher sides. Please take note of the photo accompanying each roof rack on the website for a clear idea of what they look like.
What roof racks are best to use for an awning tent?
All roof racks are equally suited for use with an awning tent.
How much clearance is there between the roof rack to the roof or gutter of a vehicle?
This will vary from vehicle to vehicle but because the brackets are adjustable you're able to extend the space from around 85mm to 115mm above the gutter. The roof rack sits above this point and will offer about an inch more clearance.
Can the roof racks carry weight across the entire area or just on supported areas?
Roof racks can hold weight across the entire area though it’s important to spread the load evenly and not overload your vehicle
How much do roof racks weigh?
Fully assembled with brackets, roofracks weigh around 50kg. There may be some slight variations depending on type of roof rack and the vehicle it is designed for.
Does the 3/4 rack come with mounting brackets?
Yes all our roof racks come with mounting brackets.
