PROJECT OVERVIEW
STEP 1

First, connect the wiring directly to a power source. In this video we have attached terminal clips to the positive and negative wires, and then connected the wires directly to the starter battery terminals. Red to positive, and black to negative. Run the power lead through the firewall to where you will mount the body to your vehicle and leave it for later.

STEP 2

Mount the body inside your vehicle by positioning the mount and screwing down with the included screws.

STEP 3

Then, fasten the thumb screws and rubber washes into the sides of the unit and slot it into the mount before tightening.

STEP 4

Next, choose a location for the hand-piece mount and screw into place.

STEP 5

Now to mount the antenna. You can either mount to your bulbar, or in this case we have used the included bracket to mount to a pre-existing bolt and fit between the bonnet and front guard. Remove the plug from the antenna cable and run it through the firewall and screw into the back of the UHF. Slot the antenna onto the bracket and secure into place. Add the whip to the top and plug the power lead into the back of the UHF and you’re done!
