The Kings 40A DCDC Charger has a built in high-efficiency MPPT Solar Regulator that will track the maximum power point of a connected solar panel, so long as it has a minimum of 30W input. So you know you’re getting the most charge out of your panel no matter the conditions.

With a specially programmed charge pattern specific to 12V Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries, plus the ability to easily switch to standard 12V lead acid, AGM, Gel or Calcium batteries with the press of a button, the Adventure Kings DCDC will work with just about any setup - and is easy to adapt to your future setups too!

The Kings DC Charger also has an automatic lithium ‘wake’ feature where it will attempt to wake up or ‘jump start’ a lithium battery where the BMS has disconnected due to low voltage.

The Kings 40A DCDC Charger has built in high-efficiency MPPT Solar Regulator that will track the maximum power point of a connected solar panel, so long as it has a minimum of 30W input. So you know you’re getting the most charge out of your panel no matter the conditions.

If, for example, you're driving at night and there is no solar input, the charger will pull only from your alternator.

When you stop at camp and turn off your vehicle, the DCDC will automatically swap over to solar charging.

If you're driving in the sun with both alternator and solar input, the DCDC will automatically prioritise solar input once it reaches the changeover threshold of 350W of solar power input.

BUILT TOUGH FOR AUSSIE CONDITIONS

A tough alloy housing means it is able to survive harsh conditions, and continues to perform even in extreme temperatures. The Kings DCDC offers a 5-stage automatic current derating system that reduces power to protect the unit in extreme conditions. The internals are IP66 rated for excellent environmental protection thanks to the fully silicon potted circuit board.

The integrated heat sink for excellent passive cooling plus the Kings DC-DC is properly protected against reverse polarity, under or over voltage, as well as over temperature.

Adventure Kings DC-DC Chargers can output their stated 40 Amps of charge even in extremely hot ambient temperatures of up to 50°C and internal temperatures around 80°C. There’s an internal temperature sensor that monitors the circuit board and electronics to protect and regulate the output of the automatic 5-stage current derating - plus there's the 2m long temp sensor with ring terminal, designed to mount to your battery highly accurate charge compensation.

With the Adventure Kings 12V Battery Monitor (*PATENT APPLIED FOR) you can easily keep an eye on and control the power coming in and out of your auxiliary battery. Designed, engineered and rigorously tested by IntelliQuip Solutions; the same Aussie engineering team that developed the Adventure Kings DC-DC chargers, this is a smart bit of kit that is easy to install and instantly takes your 12V system to the next level.

To prevent battery damage and over discharge it has a built in low voltage disconnect too. That means that if your accessories draw too much power out of the battery, it will disconnect them until the battery recovers or recharges – at that point it will automatically reconnect so your accessories continue working properly.

It’s smart too and calculates the sum of the current. So, if your solar is providing 10 amps, but your accessories are drawing 2 amps, it will display 8 amps! This makes it easy to ensure your system is working correctly and you’re not over discharging your battery.

Over-voltage protection

It also has an over-voltage protection setting to protect your batteries from over-charging – and importantly all the parameters can be changed – so you can set the low point, recovery point and high voltage point to suit your setup. No more relying on a pre-set low voltage that’s way too low and risks permanently damaging your batteries!
